AmnesiaWhen I read this book, I couldn't stop until is completed. It sucked me in by the prologue alone. While I was reading, I felt like I was watching a romantic suspense thriller. There was just so much tension throughout the book.
The main characters will draw the readers in, I believe, in multiple ways.
Jaxon Ray is literally one for the ages. He might be beautiful on the outside but rotten on the inside. He is all about manipulation. That is what is poor Amber is dealing with. The manipulation is not just from Jason bur from her family as well. You know, I've heard of family exoecrations, but this takes the cake.
The main instrument, which is used to manipulate and even abuse Amber, is a medical product known as Centrifuge. This drug stopped Amber from remembering who she is as a person and what she might have been doing before. It is down right scary.
Every time Jaxon tries suppress Amber and gets more and more out of the control. The time, which her memories comes back, Xander is on her mind. Man... How can I describe Xander? He is the type who you would like to protect you, love you for everything you are, and never let you go.
As a reader, I knew the love Xander felt for Amber was real, especially when he sees her with another man. He understood the situation between Jaxon and Amber was off. Their relationship wasn't real in any sense of the word.
I can't wait to read the next instalment in this series. Took on such a medical high. Need Xander to bring exact some revenge, Amber to get the hell away from Jaxon, and well Jaxon needs to straight up go to h-e-l-l.

I found this a well written story. I will avoid summarizing as others have already done so, but know ahead of time that it is a very dark story. Suspension of belief is the best way to get into this story. Things happen that wouldn't happen in reality but if you can allow yourself to go with it, it is a good story.
I did anticipate a cliffhanger as it was a "duet". HOWEVER, this one was worse because I was only at 63% in my kindle. I am not a fan of cliffhangers but this really could have been one book. I thought there was more going forward but it just stopped. The rest was full of "sneak peaks" at other stories by the author. I was also annoyed to see the publish date for book 2 at August 22, 2017 and it is still not out as of this review (October 31, 2017). I realize that things come up but do not publish a date until it is set in stone, or preferably has already happened.
If the abrupt ending at a very low percentage did not happen, this would have been a higher rating. I may adjust depending on how the follow up book comes out.
What happens when someone steals your mind? Do you even realize that it has happened? Can your mind understand the havoc it’s going through? Is the plan foolproof or are there tiny crack left unseen to the naked eye?

What a twisted tale. You just don’t know what to expect next. The author writes this story at a very steady pace and provides the perfect amount of detail to lure you into the darkness. It is impossible to stay one step ahead in this story. Each chapter leads you into the mind game the author plays. You just never know what to expect from Jaxson. Nor do you have a clue of the depravity of this character. A fabulous ensemble of characters add intrigue, mystery and so many intense and shocking moments to the story. Slivers of hope are dangled in front of our eyes only to be snatched away, leaving you holding your breath, wondering what the repercussions will be.
Unique, interesting, brutal at times and always intriguing Amnesia is a thrilling, suspenseful, well written story.
I won't bother to give a synopsis as others have done so admirably. This story is a basic struggle between good and evil and evil keeps winning, wiping out several of the good guys. The sex in this story is not really enjoyable because we know that Jax is volatile and abusive. I hope the sequel has more light in it!

Kylie Hillman is a not a new author for me. I enjoyed her MC series. Amnesia is a dark read full of twist and turns. Ms Hillman has written a thrill of a read. That will keep you guessing and surprised from the beginning to the end. This book pulled at my emotions. I experienced an explosions of feeling while reading Amnesia. I so love Kylie’s writing style. Her mind is one full of awesomeness that I'm so thankful she shares in each book.
Amber St George lived a simple life. Not the rich and glamorous life that was expected of her. Amber was a dedicated teacher and has great friends. Until Amber wakes up in the hospital with no memories and no ideal who she is. By her side is Dr Jaxon Ray her fiancé whom she can't remember. Who can Amber trust? Can she trust her feelings?
Dr Jaxon Ray is a man full of evil. He has been obsessed with Amber for many years. He sees Amber’s amnesia as an oppurinty for him to step in and manipulate her life. Jax doesn't want and will do anything to keep Amber from remembering. Jax is a madman loving and tender at times but also abusive and dark.
Amnesia is full of deceit! Who can be trusted and who has their own hidden agenda. Amber is a pawn in a game that she has no rules for. Is the medication that Jax has developed an answer to Amber’s amnesia or just another form of deceit. Kylie Hillman has developed characters who draw you in and engage you through out. I truly enjoyed Amnesia the plot was refreshing and thrilling. The sex does not take away from the story but only add so much spice. Get ready to be blown away and have your heart strings pulled. I look forward to the continual of this series. Kylie Hillman is an author who's books are always on my TBR list.
